Western Digital Announces ShareSpace up to 8TB
If you’re thinking of adding a server to your office or are those really need a place to store lots of capacity, Western Digital has just launched a small beast of server, the WD ShareSpace.
It is a small server that up to 8TB in 4 bays for 3.5 inch hard drives. It has Supports RAID 0/1/5 configurations for backup.
It includes two USB ports on the rear and one on the front for connecting new hard drives, a Gigabit Ethernet port of a certified DLNA streaming to make any type of file from consoles, computers or whatever you like can make streaming. As in almost all Western Digital’s servers, it includes an iTunes server, FTP or Web access,
One of the interesting features is an activity monitor can alert you by email if there is something wrong with the server, this is just great, something that all servers of this type should have.
Maybe you need to have WiFi, but you cannot ask for everything, whereas if you buy you have to spend $ 1699 (1.357 €) for the version of 8TB.
