It’s great news for users and environment. All brands have the same mobile phone charger from next year. The telecommunications industry is already working to impose a common standard for the whole industry, which benefit more than 2000 million mobile users worldwide.

Users need not have any more of a battery charger for each manufacturer and for each model. A measure supported by all parties, which will provide cost savings and environmental concerns.

Apparently, the issue lies in the hands of the GSMA, an association that brings together the major telecommunications operators in 219 countries and expected to announce formally that the model as a new micro-USB standard.
