U-Blox launches cards for personal GPS
U-Blox has launched a new card GPS “PCI Express Mini” is designed to carry the GPS and location-based services such as personal navigation, search people and services and geo-tagging to the next generation of portable NETBOOKs, mobile Internet device and computers “ultra mobile”.
PCI Express Mini Card is based on the engine, u-Blox of five positions for delivering a first fixation in a time less than 1 second.
Requiring only one external antenna, the card comes in two sizes - Mini PCI Express (PCI-5S) and PCI-Express Mini Media (PCM-5S) - to satisfy different needs.
Cards implement the u-Blox SuperSense technology, which can track where GPS signals are very weak to -160dBm, and Kick Start function for fast-setting signal, which allows navigation in dense urban environments.
