Totally Half a Million eBooks free in the Sony eBook reader
It seems that good times come close to Sony, at least for the department in charge of the e-book readers. The Japanese have announced that they have reached agreement with Google for which may be available to all users a catalog of 500,000 public domain books through its e-book store (currently in the model PRS-700).
The books are part of a project in which Google has been working long and where they want to collect a large amount of public domain books to make them accessible to all Internet users who want, for free. Now these books are available through the Sony store eBooks for free.
Surely people like Amazon is already thinking about leaving this huge blow to Sony and have just given Google.
