LG Electronics presented a multimedia external hard drive, LG XF1 Multimedia HDD. This device is enclosed in a compact body shape with the original pattern of curved lines and buttons with blue backlight. The thickness of the LG XF1 shell is 20.8 mm. This hard disk is 500GB, it supports the FAT32 and NTFS file system.

LG XF1 portable HDD is intended for storage, mostly multimedia content such as music and video. This portable Multimedia HDD supported video codec such as MPEG-2, DivX and MPEG-4 (with a resolution up to 1080i), as well as audio formats MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, ACC and AC3. Unfortunately, it is not support for such a fairly popular codecs, like H.264, WMV and MKV. LG XF1 Connect to devices for playback of content is possible not only through the traditional USB interface (there is a port mini-USB), but also through the HDMI and composite AV out.
