Kingston DataTraveler 300, world’s first flash drive with 256GB

kingston_DT300Kingston Technology has expanded its new line of flash drive holders, called the Kingston DataTraveler 300.

According to the manufacture, presented today at the store is the only device on the market in its class that can hold up to 256GB of information. That would be enough to store the contents of more than 50 DVD disc.

The stated speed of reading and writing data to the DataTraveler 300 is 20MB/s and 10MB/s, respectively. The USB flash drive is connected to a PC through the interface of USB 2.0.

The Kingston DataTraveler 300 includes a specialized application Password Traveler, designed to protect user information from unauthorized eyes. It has guaranteed compatibility with operating systems, Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

Dimensions of Kingston DataTraveler 300 are represent 71×22x17 mm, the device is given a five-year warranty. In the sale of novelty on the European market will come at an estimated cost of 660 euros.
