Iomega added eGO series, portable hard drives
Iomega introduced a new generation of portable hard drives eGO with support for USB 2.0 interface and a capacity of 250 to 500 GB. 2.5-inch hard drive available in aluminum shell thickness of 16 mm. Models are made in two versions; eGO and eGO BlackBelt.
The body of eGO drive is made to Drop Guard technology, which protects against falling from a height of 1.3 meters. For greater level of protection in the eGO BlackBelt used eGo Power Grip Belt and Drop Guard Extreme. The company claims that this device can survive falls from a height of 2.13 meters. Meals served on the disc USB, and if needed more power source, it can be connected to the second port Y-shaped cable.
Each eGo portable hard drive is compatible with Mac systems and Windows, and also includes software for backup. Model 250 GB is available in red color, its cost is about $ 85, and a 320 GB model is available in red, blue, and silver at a cost of about $ 95. Red eGO volume of 500 GB costs around $ 135, and eGO BlackBelt volume of 500 GB will be available for purchase in June for about $ 140.
