Intel Plans 34nm SSD with X25-M

intel-ssdAt this time, Intel Corporation manufactures and sells its SSD drives based on 50nm technology, but in the near future they plan to master the corporation 34nm. This should happen in the fourth quarter of 2009, and then instead of the current MLC drives in the volume of old 160GB drives will be made at 320 GB.

Wheels on the basis of a high-speed SLC drive will only 320 GB in 2010. 1.8 inch X18-M series will be produced in volume 80GB, old 160GB and 320GB. The price of these devices has not yet been reported.

X25-M 2.5 inch series will also be issued with a volume up to 320GB.

SSD drive is far too expensive, but over time the price it must become more competitive.
