Cowon Launches D2+ Touchscreen Player
The Korean manufacturer Cowon portable electronics has replaced its media player with an enhanced version D2, the D2+.
The device has the same touch screen 2.5-inch LCD with resolution of 320 × 240, but with better colors and now can come with or without a DMB TV tuner. Come with 4 GB, 8 GB or 16 GB of memory, while external memory can be added through a microSDHC card slot that can support up to 32GB.
The new player also improved battery life compared to D2, and adds a new function calculator, notepad, radio recording capability and an improved user interface. The D2+ can play movies, music, and DMB TV signals (in case it has the tuner) and has built a electronic dictionary.
The new device will be available in pink, white, blue and black with a silver back when launched in Korea on February 24. The current Cowon D2 4GB is priced at $ 117 at Amazon. The improved version of D2+ 4GB has a price equivalent to $ 107 and an 8GB version with DMB costs about $ 161 in Korea.
