Exhibition PMA this year passed without a sensational announcement, but manufacturers are beginning to gradually correct the omission. Canon has just introduced a new high level DSLR class budget, known as EOS 500D (Digital Rebel T1i). The most sensational feature of novelty is not the 15-megapixel matrix (we have already seen it in the Canon EOS 50D), and the opportunity of recording video in permits 1080p, 720p and tritely VGA.

In addition, the new camera is equipped with a 3-inch screen with a resolution of 920 thousand pixels, the same as in the Sony DSLR-A700, Nikon D300 and other DSLR high level. The camera will be available in the form of black or set the lens Canon EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 IS, equipped with optical image stabilization feature. Price Canon EOS 500D has not yet been announced.
